Monumental Weekend, 9.10-9.12.10 Edition

*WARNING*

If you call, text, tweet or telegraph anyone in DC this weekend saying that you are sooo bored and have nothing to do, they will seriously have to reevaluate your friendship.

Really.  It will be proof positive that there are issues with what Michael Kors and Nina Garcia might refer to as your "taste level" and that you are out of any and all loops which may exist in our nation's capital.

Seriously, there is entirely too much going on.  I don't know why so much is being crammed into one weekend, but thank God there will be great weather.  Top picks:

Friday

Jazz in the Garden at the Smithsonian Sculpture Garden
(I think this may be the last one of the season)

Fashion's Night Out in Georgetown

DC Shorts Film Festival (Sat and Sun shows too)

Opening of Art Whino's Beautiful Minds Exhibit at the Yards (events on Sat too)

Saturday

Penn Quarter Arts on Foot Festival (bonus - there will also be food from the great restaurants in the neighborhood and wine tastings)

Wine Festival at The Plains (however, a daytime lush recommends that you wait on the wining until next weekend, when you can really get your sip on at the VA Wine Festival and Vintage Crystal)

Neutrino Video Project

Alexandria Festival of the Arts (through Sun)

Sunday

Adams Morgan Day (always fun for seeing and being seen)

Even DC haters can't argue that this is going to be a fabulous weekend.
That's my public service for the week.  Enjoy.
