Yesterday, Prince announced that he is hitting the road on his "Welcome to America" tour this December. Special guests include Janelle Monae, Esperanza Spalding, Cassandra Wilson and Mint Condition.
According to Billboard.com, he remarked, "No two shows will be the same."
I'm excited, but a little wary at the same time. Will I be able to recognize "Raspberry Beret" and "Insatiable" in one of the genius' inspired rearrangements? If so, it's all good. Just don't pull a Lauryn Hill at Rock the Bells NYC on us. Just. Don't.
